I am a software engineer in the GIS industry, and I work with some really awesome surveying experts here in Austin.?ÿ
I'm working on marrying GNSS systems with augmented reality to provide a flexible measurement system alternative to ProPoint, etc. I am very interested in getting the perspective and feedback of professional surveyors such as your selves, and filling in some of the holes in my knowledge.?ÿ
I've gotten my feet wet with Esri/ArcGIS and GIS in general, and I'm hoping to soak up a lot more!
Welcome from a native Texan living in Indianapolis. We've certainty had a lot of discussion about GIS lately. Your ears must have been burning.
Send me some Torchy's. A double meat Whataburger with jalape?ños would be awesome too. Spicy ketchup for my fries.
ah, to be able to turn back the clock...
when I??d just gotten my license I??d regularly walk a couple blocks down the street to the bar where this trailer had set up selling tacos. They weren??t bad, and a cheaper option than most other downtown joints at the time.
Couple of times I even caught glimpse of a guy making his weekly bar delivery of this new vodka he was trying to get off the ground...?ÿ
Is that Tito's? I've heard of it but never tried it, mostly because I haven't had hard alcohol in 25 years. I drink two or three beers a year these days. Usually a local micro or a nice Belgian when I grill steaks in the summertime.
that??d be the one. I don??t know either, as i very seldomly stray from beer. Alls I know is, at the time, it was a couple of old UT fratboy types woodshedding like crazy. Now they??re both billionaires...?ÿ
@blitzkriegbob I love me some Torchy's! I mostly have to stay away from the Whataburger due to increasing circumference, unfortunately.?ÿ
With GIS, honestly, trying to get my head around geoids, and the proper corrects for EU vs US, and the weird local references frame Esri uses for some of it's scene services just gave me a headache...
