Hello All,
I recently found this forum and am quite happy I did. I came to surveying a few years ago after retiring from the US Navy where I was helicopter mechanic.?ÿ I was (still am at heart) an Aviation Structural Mechanic (AM) on the H-53E, and H-60B/F/R/S platforms and did one I-level tour for anyone interested in navy jargon.?ÿ After a few years of misdirection I found GIS and Surveying.?ÿ After couple of years in school and some big moves, I find myself with a firm in central Texas.?ÿ I have been learning daily for about 2.5 years and I'm studying to take the FS exam in a couple of months (TBPELS willing).?ÿ I truly love this survey stuff.?ÿ?ÿ
How can you not love surveying?

@flga-2-2 I went to 'A' school in Pensacola in 1997. I was with a couple of squadrons that did SAR too.?ÿ Too much time on a carrier though, I always preferred the destroyer over the big flight deck.
He was a land based rescue swimmer and flew in a HH-60H Seahawk that patrolled East coast training areas. ?????ÿ
