Supposedly I am having a conversation with someone about a Carlson product. I didn't start such a conversation and I have not responded to any such request for a conversation and I WILL NOT be responding to it as I have no knowledge about said product. Can this be deleted from my "inbox" or whatever it is?
I believe it was last week I received a notification that I was referenced in a conversation I had not participated in. Turned out it was John Hamilton who was referenced, not me.
I wonder if something similar happened in both cases.
Why not simply respond to sender with "I'm sorry, but I have no knowledge about said product"?
I want to simply "hang up" like I would on a telemarketer. Perhaps this is a shotgun blast approach. Put your question on the regular forum if it's that common. Don't target individuals unless you are rather certain of their ability to help you.

I almost did the same a couple of days ago. The forum software lets you reference a person by putting @ in front of their username e.g. @qwert. The problem comes up if there is a space in the username, so if I write @ John Hamilton, it only sees @ John and alerts you.
Maybe there is a user named Holy B-)
Thanks, Peter. It only took me ten minutes to follow your first tip correctly but I succeeded. I did not want to open the conversation. Whoever sent it is now on the "do not accept" list for conversations.
For: In The Sandpit...........maybe it's the dad on Everybody Loves Raymond. He was routinely saying Holy Cr*p.

I figured something like that happened, so I wasn't going to cry about it......:-P
Conversations are like private messages. You can start one with anyone on here. But you don't have to respond, you can simply leave the conversation like @Peter Ehlert pointed out.

I got the same conversation request, apparently after you, but I answered it.
It wasn't about Carlson software at all, turns out that it was from Kelly Carlson and she has a surveyor fetish...sorry about your bad luck 😉

Greatest music video of all time. (Cue Master Fleming's rebuttal...)
Robert Palmer was a genius......
I have not met an authentic survey groupie since the 70s.
My boss and coworkers never figured out how I disappeared so quickly at lunch and end of day with my vehicle still in the parking lot.
B-)
