When you come back, which I hope you do, try not be be so hiper sensitive.
guess I missed the whole thing too.
If I ever gave the impression that I was ticked off about a bunch of sports threads here on Beerleg, let me say that that is NOT the case.
I was only pointing out that everyone's interests are different. It's really not a big deal to scroll past threads that don't interest me.

No worries.
I can usually discern between casual comments and outright flames. 😀
"Sports there are people who just plain do not like. Those of us who feel that way just get really bored with scrolling past 100 posts of "Boomer Sooner" or "Roll Tide" or "Who Dat" which we know (even without opening) will consist of the mental equivalent of (caveman voice)"Grunt, my team better than your team Grunt" (end caveman voice)."
You might feel differently if you got out and scratched your balls more often.

What About All Those Quick Costume Changes ?
Plus they were lipsynching. Ringo is trying not to make any noise over the recorded song, which is why he was pitty patting.
They begin wearing White Franchettis over black turleneck sweaters, within 5 seconds they are wearing black jackets with narrow lapels instead, then they switch back and forth, ending with white. I count seven white clips to 6 black clips. it is hard to tell but I believe in some of the black clips they are wearing the turtlenecks only.

what'd I miss...maybe this but, i do not know
Well...maybe after thinking of it he will participate at a later date. I think there have been many who left the previous board for several reasons. Some reasons were perceived (and real) personal attacks, frustration with stupid posts, trolls and trolling, but I think the ones who returned did so because of the overall camaraderie and wealth of information shared. I hope that this is the case with him.
Ya'll take care....I'm off of the harley for a relaxing ride!!
Thanks Dan.

> This is probably my last post. I'm not looking for any apologies. I'm not looking for anyone to ask me to reconsider. I'm not asking for anything. But I've been a very faithful & loyal supporter of this forum since day 2 and I really don't appreciate being treated like a second class citizen by the moderator.

Dave, don't leave. I like ya!! :good:
We're suppose to BBQ steaks together one day when we make it out thata way!! :-/
Don't everybody get their "Pampers" all wet....
Don't hold your breath expecting Dave to come back. I know Dave well enough to know when he says, "I'm outta here," he's outta here.
He did say "[t]his is probably my last post" though, so maybe he'll reconsider. I sure hope so.
Isn't Dave the guy who had an article in one of the mags about how he invented a bracket and integration of a GPS unit to a standard EDMI?
Now who's going to whine about the whining liberals?

I just can't believe that not having a category created caused all this ruckus. If so, that is unbelievably childish. Somebody PLEASE tell me it is something more logical. Although I'm not sure what it could be to make someone trample off in a huff like that...
truly odd.

Carl,
I had the same thought. I figured I must be missing something.
Also, apparently some people take sports as seriously as religion.

OH... I know those people... But to not have a drop-down category... For real?? Seriously?? I can not wrap my mind around this OCD-ness or WAAA-ness.
Dear Dave;
If this is all about the sports category in the thread a few lines down, I think you are over-reacting.
That's just my opinion.
Your contributions here both in survey and non-survey categories, are generally worthwhile and helpful, even if we don't always agree.
I think you should reconsider.
Best,
Angelo
You know the category thing .....
is not really as much of an issue (to me anyway) with this style website.
FOr example, with the new POB website; a new category is put in it's own little room so you must click on it to see what's happening. In this situation, creating a new category would most certainly reduce the number of people who read it. With the BEERLEG website, it makes no difference unless you turn the category off.
While I am generally not interested in sports, I will still leave the category on because there may be something that interests me like hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking or mud wrestling.
Dear Dave;
I agree with Angelo. You contribute.
You know the category thing .....
That's very true. Even though I was the one requesting the sports category because I could sense a lot of sports threads on the horizon that I might not be interested in, I'll actually probably keep the sports category on just in case there's a good thread on beach volleyball that I won't want to miss.
