Hi all

I currently use trimble gps for static or fast static only as i have no radios. Trimble are starting to get a little tricky to deal with in regards to legacy equipment as you all know. I'm looking to swap to topcon as i may have the option of purchasing a hiper lite. Long term looking to run this via Internet using CORS but for the interim thinking about external radio for my trimble as a base and hiper lite as rover. I currently use trimble survey controller 12.5 with a tsc2 but happy to get another controller when using topcon. Any feedback on how hard to use trimble base with topcon rover would be appreciated.

That is one of the few combinations I haven't tried. Even so my advice is don't do it.
For over a decade I fought to marry leica, Topcon, Carlson, sokkia and microsurvey (with ashtech sprinkles for good measure). What you end up with is tech dead ends, convoluted work flows and very frustrated field personnel. You increase the odds for error exponentially. One line from jurassic park comes to mind...

There is a way to do it I think or there used to be. It had something to do with a GRIL command I thought you had to use PC-CDU to enter it. We looked at it once because of a large project with a permanent base installed on it.

ftp://hayeshelp.com/TechDocs/GRIL.pdf

It might be in this.
