Tried trimble r10 on t.s.c. 3 with access.

I used state plane and selected grid coordinates. I selected geod09.

Elevation of site is 980.

Used a here position for the base.

I collected 200 points.

To get plan distances is there an export or conversion that can be done?

Thinking I should have selected ground vs grid.

Thanks.

You can change the grid setting to "ground keyed in scale factor" and enter your combined scale factor. On the third page you then need to enter the lat long of where you want to scale from.

Once you change the job settings it will update the coords for all GPS measured points in your job. Did you log data at your base to post process with OPUS? I don't use the "here" button but Frontier Precision has some good video tutorials on You Tube showing how to import the OPUS solution and adjust your "here" position in TBC.

These are from Survey Controller...the screen looks the same as Access though.

We scale from the SP zone origin. To get the lat long and height of the origin key in a grid point with coords of 0,0,0. Then go to point manager and change the display to lat long to get the lat long height of the origin. If you just want to scale from some point on the project you can hit the "here" button at the bottom of the page and it will input the lat long and height at your current location. I don't ever use that here button either so I'm not sure how well that option works.

I would bring the raw data file into TBC, update base coordinates and scale to ground. It's a fairly simple process with Trimble...
