I operate with Survey Pro running on a Windows 8" Tablet mounted on the gps rod. But since the device is too big, i dont want to operate it directly, i'd rather use an external bluetooth device that sends key shortcuts on that tablet. So i'm looking for a way to assign them inside the Survey Pro environment which seems to be touch based for the most part. I know there is a command inside the settings that you can enable the use of enter when taking a topo SS measurements. But what about adding functionality for other keys as well?
I have the Survey Pro for Windows 10 version running on my laptop, with Windows 7 Pro. I have not found a way to disable the touchscreen keyboard that pops up in Survey Pro but my regular keyboard and mouse work fine. Perhaps there is a small Bluetooth keyboard/touchpad pointing device that would work for you. I have not researched this but there is no reason it should not work.
I would say a dc with quick codes screen, but I can't see what you are ultimately trying to do here.
That ability seems to have gone away in 6.+ so far in 6.- you could assign hard keys on the D.C. To do certain tasks
