I have (two) Epoch 50 GNSS receiver(s) that I bought used from EBAY several years ago.  Until last month, I used one receiver,  “Topnet Live” corrections, cell phone and Survey Pro 5.1.1 on a Nomad for serviceable GNSS coordinates.  Now… the receiver will not move from autonomous to fixed.  It is seeing 13 plus satellites and gathers data for 10-20 minutes and will not fix.  I’ve tried both receivers, different open areas.  The firmware is 1.00 and 1.01.  I asked Spectra Precision for a firmware update, but they said it was a Trimble Product (though it says Spectra Precision on the side).  Trimble told me to talk to the dealer I bought it from.    Anyone else having this problem? Any solution?  Anyone making the Epoch 50 work with other software or correction service?  I would appreciate your help.

Thank You

I do not have those units but here are some guesses. If you are using a sim card in the Epoch then you might need a new sim card. If you have 3G or 3.5G or 3.75G modems you might be getting only a weak 2G signal because all the phone providers have stopped using 3G signal. Last year my Stonex S850A suddenly would not connect to the network so I had Tmobile ping my 4G modem in the Stonex and they said it was good so I went thru all the settings again and found an obscure permission that was off instead of on and after that it has been perfect again and I have no idea how that permission got turned off but apparently I did it somehow. Hope you figure it out.

@landbutcher464mhz   Thanks! I'm still guessing.... maybe some setting got changed internally on the Epoch 50...I was able to reset one of them to factory specs but....no fix!    I am using a Verizon 4g jetpack maybe the problem is there.... thanks for sharing.
