Running RTK from a network active base system and noticing when fixed getting Vert. precisions of about 0.02m and then it creeps up until it loses fix....gets fixed again and does the same thing.?ÿ Can't even get half a minute of observations before losing fix.?ÿ Setup is in an open area with no obstructions such as trees or tall buildings.

Any ideas???

thx.

Could be that you are not getting the corrections updated at the necessary intervals, and the integer solution decays until it pops. Check on your cell service.?ÿ

Another thought - I recently took over an older GPS unit. It was supposed to be GLONASS capable, but never seemed to find any of the Russian sats. Fixes took quite a while and were readily lost. Come to find that the firmware had not been updated since 2012. Service tech amazed that I was getting anything at all. Updated firmware and now I'm getting all the GLONASS I should. Fixes aren't all that much quicker but they do seem to endure better.?ÿ So maybe check your firmware date.
