Any one using the Model 3? Does it have a bay for a sim card? Im using an AT&T unite as a hotspot for RTK with a Model 2. How much better is it?

There's not a huge difference in performance between a Model 2 and a Model 3 (we have at least 10 of each) assuming you've kept up with the firmware updates in the Model 2. There is no modem in the Model 3 unless you replace the radio with one, and my experience with that was that it doesn't work, a mobile hotspot is definitely the way to go. In fact, the Model 3 is almost identical to the Model 2 in form and function, the biggest difference is the number of channels (I want to say 220 vs. 76?)which allows for support of Galileo, Compass, etc. You might see slightly better performance, especially with a brand new one, but it's not night & day the way it was with the original R8 and the Model 2.
