I'm getting this error message trying to use the web app. Wondering if this is recent or if it's been down for a while?
Update: I discovered that Carlson Survey has the capability to transform coordinates between NAD83 and NAD27. Huzzah!
Then I discovered that while the CAD drawing I'm working in shows NAD27 as the north orientation, it is not actually in the NAD27 coordinate system. A note in the drawing layer "SRV-TXT" says "The coordinate system is at an assumed location." This sucker dates back to at least the year 2000.
It's great that Carlson Survey can handle the NAD83 ↔ NAD27 transformation. Unfortunately, those older CAD files can be a rabbit hole. "Assumed location" is often a sign that the drawing isn't tied to any real-world datum at all—it just uses a local coordinate system that someone established for the project. If the file dates back to around 2000 (or earlier), that's not unusual.
