In order to post process some static data I need to get ephemeris data. However the NGS source seems to be inaccessible. I'm trying to get to http://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/components/prods_cb.html&apos ;"> http://igscb.jpl.nasa.gov/components/prods_cb.html
but have not been successful. The link does not connect and times out. Any info or ideas would be appreciated. TBC is the software used for the post processing. Thank you.

I haven't been able to get IGS orbits from the Internet Download link in TBC or the Orbital Data link on NGS' web site for several days now. The last time I tried I assumed they were down temporarily but it still isn't working today.

I generally grab the IGS Ephemeris from the NGS CORS site.

I just grabbed this Ultra Rapid for yesterday, and it look Okay to me:

Lee,

I use UFCORS:
I just select a CORS (any CORS, it doesn't matter), and "request" 24 hrs of data (duration might not matter either), and click on "IGS Ordits," and the sp3 file is included in the .zip file.

Lee,

I noticed the same thing using the "Internet Download" feature in Leica Geo Office a couple of weeks ago. I can download the observation and navigation files for a specific CORS station, BUT not the ephemeris data. I'm not sure why the ephemeris data is no longer provided.

In addition to Loyal's method, NASA has an ftp site where you can wend your way through the directories to download the igs*****sp3.z file(s) for a given day. If you don't need the CORS data it is another way of getting the ephemerides. Use the below link, select the directory with the correct GPS week, and flip through the files until you get to the ones that begin with igr (rapid) or igs (precise). The failed download in LGO does tell me which file(s) I need. I store them in the default LGO directory, unzip them and then import into LGO.

ftp://cddis.gsfc.nasa.gov/gnss/products/

On second thought, Loyal's way is simpler and faster.

Ephemeris data is the same for every CORS which is why the NGS is not concerned about including it with every CORS file.

Internet paths get changed over time but you cannot always update them in some software. My first look is at the JPL site, then I go to the NGS home page, because my older direct links do not always work. I pick through the choices for the day in question and in the middle of all the CORS are the igs, igr and igu orbits. I grab the one I want, unzip it and move on.

I looked briefly at jpl.noaa.gov (which is mostly full of pictures and articles for the curious public) and couldn't find any drill-down to the ephemeris data. I thought there might be a change in the link.

Investigate these links, if you haven't. I don't know much about them.

Try NGA at: http://earth-info.nga.mil/GandG/sathtml/PEexe.html

Oops. They have updated their site and have a new page at: http://earth-info.nga.mil/GandG/update/index.php?action=home

Ephemerides are linked from bottom of this page.

BTW, The Ohio State University Geodesy program site has also been updated and includes a PDF of Advanced Physical Geodesy and info about ordering a more legible printed version. See: https://earthsciences.osu.edu/geodetic/resources

Sorry, I meant to say that Trimble released a patch for TBC that updated the automatic links. When you chose "Internet download" choose from the "(updated)" links.
< https://cddis.nasa.gov/Data_and_Derived_Products/GNSS/orbit_products.html > Is where you are directed when you click on manual download.
