@lurker Ensure what you are using for internet access has not lost internet connection. All the while I was looking for something complicated, because someone had changed a lot of the usual settings, and I was going over all the changes to be sure they were back where they needed to be. Never thought to look for internet still being connected because it had never lost connection before. Kind of humbles you.?ÿ

The first crew I was on had zero batteries, zero cables, zero data collectors, zero electronics. Even a dip needle. Simpler times. Not easier or as productive necessarily. But there are those days when I wonder.?ÿ

You can fly without internet if you are already logged in. We had used that iPad before but it had been awhile so maybe it requires a new login,not sure. Extremely stupid and aggravating that software engineers think there is internet everywhere in the entire world. Eventually I found weak signal but then was given the wrong password (he forgot he changed it I guess). So I call my boss to look for the password in a text file but he couldnƒ??t find it. I found it in 2 minutes back at the hotel (using the vpn).

itƒ??s just extremely stupid to have to be able to login to an internet service in order to fly an aircraft. We are getting a new, bigger one that doesnƒ??t have any of that login silliness.
