Have any of you who signed up for the 2 week test actually received one, or heard any news on this from Javad?? Thanks!
Last I heard, the program rollout has been delayed until late February so they can finalize the software and produce enough units to meet demand.
I am sure they will not have enough units for the 2 week test. Do you have to give them your credit card details in case you accidentally broke the units?
For 2 weeks, I can finish a 50 has project using the units for RTK topographic survey of open areas, then return to them without any commitment to buy them.
I think the main reason for the loan promo is to get bug reports when these units are used in real field conditions.

I don't have any details yet, but I would expect some form of security will be required.

Since the VS has been out for some time, and the LS is just (I think) a specially-configured VS, I don't think the promo is about beta testing. I believe it's intended to get a bunch of units into the hands of surveyors who wouldn't otherwise take a chance on Javad, and to generate buzz in the professional community.
This promo makes you wonder about the hardware manufacturing costs of a GNSS system.

Manufacturing costs are pretty modest. As a WAG, I'd say the hard cost of the Triumph-LS is somewhere around $500. R&D and patent licensing together is the tail that wags (pun intended) the dog. In the case of the Triumph-LS, R&D includes software development, since it's an integrated solution.
I hope they contact us before shipping them out. I don't want one until April, there is 4' of snow around here right now and I can't 'test drive' anything but a 4 wheel drive!
They updated the information on their website today about the two week trail:
Javad Triumph LS Two Week Trail
They will be shipping it with the Triumph 2 receiver that they just announced today and a UHF radio to be used as the base station. Anyone who signed up will have the opportunity to buy the base/rover setup for $9,990. This is a great deal in my opinion. If you did not sign up for the trial it will cost $13,130.
