So I have a TSC2 with Access 2015 on it.?ÿ It doesn't have the 2.4ghz radio module installed and I wanted the use it to do robotic work.?ÿ ?ÿSo I, (in my infinite wisdom) bought a card to install.?ÿ I took off the "head cap" of the DC and found that all the slots were for data cards.?ÿ ?ÿI thought it was a "plug and play" situation with the radio card.?ÿ ?ÿSo now I have a TSC2 and a 2.4 Ghz card.?ÿ ?ÿHow do I make this work??ÿ Can I make this work?

Sheepishly,

Firestix

Installing the radio module is plug and play.

you need to take the back off not just the head cap.?ÿ

you will also need all the items in this radio kit. (radio card, radio connection board & housing)

The internal radio on the tsc2 i dont believe works with a 5600. Only the external will work

Thank you for the info kilos.?ÿ Can you point me to some pics of what the internal verses the external radios look like??ÿ ?ÿWhen I bought my equipment from a Surveyor a few years back, it came with 2 Data Collectors.?ÿ Both were TSC2s.?ÿ However, 1 had survey controller (with an antenna)?ÿ and the other was running Trimble Access 2015 (without an antenna).?ÿ ?ÿI ill-advisedly sold the DC with the antenna and kept the one with the most recent version of the Trimble software.?ÿ ?ÿI've attached a picture.?ÿ Can you tell me if this is the extrernal radio that you speak of??ÿ?ÿ
Thanks again!

@firestix The DC in the photo has an internal radio installed. The no radio version has a flat back and no aerial connection.

Ive attached a photo of external radio for the 5600. These are very expensive at the moment probably more than the DC itself. The batteries are also hard to source.
