I see very little here about Hemisphere GPS, they are apparently fairly new on market. Does anyone have any feedback on this brand?

We sell many of their receivers (rebranded under Carlson's banner) and have been impressed with their functionality and cost effectiveness. Likewise, we've had nothing but positive feedback from customers, and many return to buy additional receivers. In our experience they are comparable to many of the top heads from other manufacturers but we haven't been able to test against Javad. For example, at a GPS workshop in the Puget Sound last year we (a group of attendees using our own equipment) ran through a set of points using network RTK to test various receivers and our Carlson BRx5 receiver checked within .02 on every shot.

Although some receivers do have other benefits (a 2W internal UHF radio being one example), what's not to like about a <$9k receiver with full constellation support, internal cell modem, internal 1W UHF radio, internal level sensor (when paired with SurvCE 4+), up to 20Hz positioning, dual Bluetooth ports, Wifi, internal and expandable memory, hot-swappable batteries, and an open platform?

If it's got the Carlson name on it, it is probably a good product.

We just purchased two of the Carlson (Hemishpere) BRx5's last summer and couldnt be happier. No issues as of yet. The price was right too!
