Does anyone know if you can install Terrasync on the survey version of the Trimble Geo7x with Access?
I want to be able to have GIS and survey workflows on one device, if possible.

No, unfortunately, Terrasync will not connect with the GPS receiver in the survey version of the Geo.
Ok thanks. Guess I will end up keeping my Pro6H/T41 for GIS data and get a 7x with Access for survey type work.
Also looking at the new R2 and pair it with a Slate controller instead of the 7x.
It is my understanding the R2 will only work with the GIS product line/software, not the survey software.
The R2 works with both product lines. It will work with Terrasync, Access, and smart devices. You can even configure it with a UHF receive radio to use it as an RTK rover. Seems like this is their first receiver to truly be cross-platform between survey and GIS.

I can double check on this... I thought you could do it with the cm version of terrasync. You may be right, but I'll ask my go to guy.
I decided to purchase a new R2 with a Slate controller and Access Lite. I can also install ArcPad on the Slate to support GIS workflows.
