Is there a way to convert a Topcon .tps static GPS file to a .data file for upload to OPUS without MAGNET Tools? Thanks in advance for your help.
what is a .data file?
To sort of answer your question, teqc can be used to convert from .tps to rinex (.17o)
Sorry, I think my crew chief was thinking of StarNet .dat when he said .data. I personally have never used OPUS and we have never done any static collection since we purchased a pair of HiPer V's and MAGNET Field. I am wondering what it would take to be able to take a GPS Raw File from MAGNET Field and upload it to OPUS. We do not currently have MAGNET Tools and was curious if we would have to purchase it to make the necessary conversions.
teqc is free from www.unavco.org, it should recognize the file type and if so, all you have to do is type at a command line:
teqc xxxxddds.tps>xxxxddds.17o (assuming your file name is xxxxddds.tps)
You can then upload the .17o rinex file to OPUS. Note that when uploading you need to enter the antenna type and HI, even if it is in the rinex file.
I had that same question (I think) just last week. Topcon GR3. It a dos executable. Works great. It might be 8.3 naming, and it's old style command line.

Nothing to fear from hayeshelp, I built that site. Others should be able to vouch.
I also got a response for a GUI version. I preferred the command line.
OPUS accepts .tps files without any conversion. If your experience is otherwise you will have to convert the .tps to a rinex format observation file. TPS2RIN.exe does the trick.

I tried sending .tps to opus. Had to go rinex. Maybe it was a version thing.
The dos executable was simple a fast.

If submitting to OPUS, the "o" file (for "observation") is what you want to send. Just make sure you input the correct antenna height when you submit.
The "n" file is the GPS navigation data and the "g" file is the GLONASS navigation data (the broadcast ephemerides).
WinTEQC works with Windows 10 - no command prompt necessary.?ÿ
A video on how to use TPS2RIN without knowing a bunch of DOS. (Scroll to bottom of screen that pops up and select the video)
