Greetings all,

I recently did a GPS survey using a Topcon Hiper Ga base & rover with a Carlson Mini2 data collector. The base was set up and run for over four hours, then the log file was processed through OPUS. Does anyone know how I can now re-compute the RTK data that I collected using the processed OPUS solution for the base ? I know how to do this very easily in Magnet Office software, but we don't have it at my new job. What I'm working with is Carlson SurvCE data collector software, Carlson X-Port software, and any other freeware I can find.

Without logging any rover data, you won't be able to adjust any RTK data. But you can just convert the coordinates from OPUS and then use survce to translate your data from the autonomous position to the OPUS derived position. Did you store your base point?

I didn't store my base point in the localization routine. I think that's what's hanging me up. I'm wondering if there's another way to do it, or if I can create a generic base point base in the office and translate everything onto that. Thanks for your help.

The coordinates for the base point are in the rw5 file. You may be able to recreate it from there.

Derek,

I have been "dinking around" with Carlson .rw5 RTK files lately, and would love to look at a "localization'ized" .rw5 file. We NEVER do any calibration/localization "stuff" when using RTK (or any other such magic), so this would be a good chance for me to look at such a file.

Loyal

Maybe explain the setup process. Why are you localizing?

In the rw5 take the BP and change it to GPS. Apply a rod height here or in your CRD after you Process GPS.
