Its been a long day so ill try to keep it short
Equipment:
Carlson BRX7 Base/Rover (RTK) w/ GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo.. Had it less than a week
Carlson Surveyor2 w/ SurvCE 6.12
Satel Satelline TA18 EasyPro 35W
Our "customer service" at L-S says a have to have my radio configured to be a radio (NOT a repeater) and must be connected via cable @ my base. Then if I need more range I can have ANOTHER radio as a repeater. Ive always used internal at the base and then set my repeater a little bit in range if i needed help getting corrections to my rover. Regardless.. I cant seem to make this work. If i do have to use a radio at my base, what are my settings for optimum range in canopy? And then are there different settings for say.. trying to get all the range i can on a long stretch (17 miles) of highway cross sections? No network, no opus, RTK only.. I have plenty of experience with GPS and i havent tried everything i can, i ran out of daylight so now im hoping some of you smart fellas can give me something to start with in the morning. (Besides a headache) if you ask me, customer service is just trying to sell my boss a few more Satel radios.. But i dont write the checks and im not the boss.. Just the guy trying to figure it out. Thanks for the help in advance!
While not written specifically for the Carlson BRx7, see if the communication settings information in Carlson Knowledgebase article #1076 gets you closer to your goal. If not, Carlson Technical Support might have other ideas. I hope this information helps.
While not written for the Satel repeater, this document:

does work with the BRx7 (I wrote the FAQ and personally tested it so I know it works.) Something in it may help you with the Satel radio.
Good luck! This radio stuff if complicated.
