I've recently been trying to track down software/firmware updaters for older Spectra Precision receivers. It appears that Spectra Precision no longer shows anything earlier than the SP60 on their website, and the old support links from manuals are no longer active.

I've previously had difficulty with other manufacturers and software developers as well when it comes to older software and utilities disappearing from the companies websites.

Many different niche tech user bases often maintain those older files in community run and moderated sites. Has anybody encountered a similar site for surveying software and firmware?

There are a lot of old files at my office that we technically still have, but should anyone ever need to access said files it could prove impossible because though the files were saved, no one thought to save a copy of the software that created it.

I would contact your local Spectra dealer.?ÿ They have access to older files, firmware, etc. that the general public does not.?ÿ If they don't know about it, tell them to search the "Partners" site.

UNAVCO has some support files for older Trimble units, not sure about SP products. They aren't really interested in becoming a museum either; I had offered to send some files / docs that they didn't have and got the answer "thanks but no thanks" (which is perfectly fine).
