Does anybody have a good idea of what would be a good price for a T-1?

If you are buying...

Condition is a big issue... especially internal! If it ever has been banged around enough to disturb the optical train alignment it could cost more to fix than you pay for it another gotcha is how much mold and fungus is growing on the glass circles and telescope lenses. If it ever got put away wet and was not allowed to dry out properly it's almost a given that the circles will be spotted... sometimes so badly you can not read them properly. Many of these old theodolites are being sold by people who claim they don't know anything about them so when you get it and it's jacked up it's just too bad for you. Be sure to ask questions before you bid. Couple other issues affecting price is does it have an erect image? does it have the removable/interchangeable tribrach? I would hold out for a T1AE if I were looking for one. Most collectors do not like them with EDM mounts Good luck. BTW you should get a good one for $500 to $800 if you are patient
If you are selling be sure to talk up the issues I have mentioned and if your theo has problems disclose them too.

I'd like a T-0 with good clean glass in it. Erect image is better.

The guy wants $125 for it. It comes with a tripod and both cases. Doesn't look to bad in the pictures but pictures can be deceiving.

BUY IT! The tripod could be a 16b classic and worth the buck and a quarter by itself.
for that money you really can not go wrong
