We are considering the purchase of a Topcon DS203 robotic total station.

Currently using two Trimble 5602 robots but getting very tired of radio issues.

Any good or bad opinions regarding this instrument?

Do you run these fully robotic, with an instrument man or both?
We have a lot of situations where it is just faster to run a 2 man crew rather than deal with one guy and a robot. Tried using our Topcon PS robot with a crew and its great for staking or one man shooting but running it with an instrument man is less than ideal although it does work. For the jobs where we use an instrument man we use the OS-102 which is similar to yours but without the robotic capabilities.
May be purchasing another OS-102 with the onboard and wondering if it is worth the upgrade to the DS series.
Thanks in advance for any input or advice.
Gregg
