Are these good radios, but you are moving on due to Federal laws?

Joe, are you still using your old PDL rovers? What GPS gear?

we never had used PDL rovers, we're using Trimble R8 GNSS model 2 receivers with built-in radio modules, bluetooth connection to TSC2 data collectors set up with Trimble survey controller, and then TBC in office. everything has been working well for us, but later next week we'll be "converted" into compliance I reckon 🙂

Thanks! For some reason, I thought you were using Leica gear with PDL rovers.

Do you know if those Trimble radios are OEM versions of the PDL rovers? I would think so since they own Pacific Crest?

Anyway, learned today that I can't just change to an ADL base, I have to change my PDL rovers too, in addition Pacific Crest is no longer going to provide an ADL version in a Leica housing so without some extra cables and some sort of Rube Goldberg setup, I can't even use an ADL rover. I am done with Pacific Crest, time to move on.

Satel or Intuicom radios will be my choices when I go shopping.

I'm unsure of the Trimble internal radios, but you may be right as to PacCrest, Trimble bought them around the end of 2004.
keep us posted on your decision, I really want to learn how everyone deals with this issue. I have checked Intuicom, but didn't get too far. I'd like to hear how it works versus a base radio. Fortunately, we have some pretty open skies here in Arizona, base radio seems to work well for us, but always need to see what our options are.
