Not really looking to make money off these but of course I wouldn't complain. Best offer accepted. Minimum offer is shipping + $5 or they go in the trash. Please tell me your zipcode so I can calc shipping. Thanks!
LOL, My wife took all mine to the local library recently.
Which one had the cover photo of the very hippy looking young woman with braids (was it Wendy What's-her-name?).
This would have been the eighties.
For some reason that cover, a tribute to women in the profession undoubtedly, sticks in my mind.
I remember an employee seeing that one and saying something like "Grooovy, man."
I didn't reprimand him for profiling though I could tell that person was not a hippie 🙂

One of the 1997 (or there about) issues has an interesting help wanted ad in it.
Help Wanted: Survey Screw Chief.
I took it to work at a large industrial site where I worked with another surveyor. He really laughed about it, took my magazine and would never give it back. I don't know whether he applied for the job or not!
Oh yea, the SECO girls. 1985 I believe.
A few years back I scanned my collection that ran back to the mid 90's, and then recycled them. Now, the latest editions are available as pdfs.
It wasn’t POB. It was Professional Surveyor, July/August 1983. And it wasn’t Wendy What's-her-name.
It was Mary Root. Today, Mary is a licensed Land Surveyor in Virginia and the editor of the Surveyors Historical Society Journal, Backsights.

Reminds me of an employment ad. i saw some weeks back. Do you think anyone has applied for this job?:-S
Thank you, Rich!
That's the one and exactly like I remember it, thirty years later.

There was an early 80’s cover of Norman Brown in al of his original surveyor garb looking through a peep sight compass at the photographer’s lens.
I had this cover for many years. I put it on the door of my office once so that when one entering they were confronted by Mr. Brown. I also put it on a wall behind my office chair. When I was meeting with someone, if they looked over my shoulder there would be Mr. Brown scoping them out that led to many conversations.
