How to submit your item for sale

GREAT IDEA! EBAY has a couple notorious scammers in Europe! EBAY does NOTHING about them. I am sure those clowns are here too.

I've just included a new rule that all For Sale listings here must be exclusive to RPLS.com. When items are posted for sale in multiple locations, it is often a scam. We will search the internet upon receiving all new submissions and if we find duplicates, they will not be approved for listing here.

Please keep in mind that RPLS.com is not my primary source of employment. It's a side project, so I can't always put as much time into it as I'd like. Because of this, it can often take me a few business days to review, research and post your submitted for sale items. I ask that you please be patient with me and understand that I'll get your items posted as soon as I can. As of right now, this is the best process for posting items for sale, as it helps tremendously reduce the possibility of spam, scams and fraud. Thank you for understanding.

Have you thought about requiring a serial number for larger items.  Not that you need to check them, but at least a perspective buyer can run them.  I would think it might deter scammers a bit as well.

@john-putnam I've been out of the loop on this stuff for years, so I'm wondering: do manufacturers generally provide a way to check serial numbers online? I know it adds another layer of moderation for me, but I would like to verify serial numbers if I can for the sake of security.

I have added model/part number and serial number fields to the submission form, as well as a request to include a photo of the serial number. 🙂 

I have been receiving multiple submissions that clearly did not read the instructions in the original post above, which are also included with the post submission form. A verification photo that includes the full sale package with the hand-written details on a sheet of paper is required. Submissions that ignore this requirement will be denied. Your best course of action is to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and follow them completely.

Please don't waste your time or mine by submitting items for sale that don't follow the instructions provided. If you don't fully understand the instructions, please ask before submitting your item(s).

Again, please read the instructions when submitting items you want to sell. The verification photo step is REQUIRED. To clarify, there are two forms you fill out -- you submit the first one with your listing and photos, then you are taken to a second page where you submit another form with the verification photo. Both forms must be completed and submitted in order for your items to be posted. No exceptions.

We've been receiving several submissions of the first form, but never receive the verification form. Submissions without the verification form/photo are ignored.
