Recently I bought some data collectors:

When I bought them I had no idea if they worked, what was loaded on them, no battery, charger, manuals, etc.

So I bought a battery so that I could check them out and they all turned out to be good. So I bought 2 more batteries. If you'd like one you may have one or more for $150 each.

You get the data collector with a new battery loaded with TDS Survey Pro.

I do not have chargers to go with them, but you may have one or a 12v laptop charger will work just fine.

No manuals, but I suspect most of you know how to use TDS.

If you're interested, drop me a note at - ingram AT cfw DOT com

PS: Also still have a T3000 set-up as previously described for $1,800

Survey Pro 4.1.2, Instruments, RTK, Kermit, Basemap 1.0.3, Geometry, Imaging, DXF - on the two with the TDS label

The one with the TOPCON label has 4.5.3 - same programs

That version of the Ranger was tough as nails ... I used one everyday for at least 10 years, by the time I traded it in, the letters on the keys were half warn off, the protective coating was pealing off, and it looked like crap, but it just kept on going. I've had much more trouble with the newer Rangers than that model.

Only problem I ever had in 10 years was the keyboard.... the rubber membrane under the keys (to keep out water) cracked, exposing the keyboard to moisture, which caused a couple of keys to stop working. It was apparently a common problem, but I think Hayes fixed it with used parts, and it wasn't an expensive fix.

It won't. TDS only supports the major players, like Trimble, Topcon, Leica, & Spectra Precision (Ashtech). There might be couple others I'm forgetting, but definitely not CHC.

I wish they would have moved to be more inclusive, like Carlson, but since they were taken over by Trimble, I doubt they have any interest in expanding their lines of support to other brands that undercut their prices.

FOLLOW UP INFO - edited

In response to a couple of questions, I now realize that there is a difference between installed modules and registered modules. So I looked a little deeper and I do not think RTK is registered. Also, as I look at some of the individual components of Survey Pro I see a "lock symbol" by some of the functions.

What I can tell you is that there are jobs on them from the previous owners and they load and operations can be done on the data, the map works, etc.

I have not previously used Survey Pro so I am definitely not an expert here.

The Topcon is sold.

The two tds are registered as "standard"
