I bought this gun last December in anticipation of two large projects for 2019. Sadly, both have fallen through. Gun comes with Robotic Accessory Kit, Quick Release Pole, T18 (very fast!) data collector running SurvCE TS+ROB, and Extended Warranty. Gun has been set up in the office last December, but never been outside. List on all this is over $26,000. I'm asking $17,500 or best offer.

I wasn't able to attach pics, but they are available on request.

I understand that these are re-branded Leica instruments. Does that mean Leica service centres will service them?

I've also heard that, and that they are the same as the Geomax Zoom 90's. I assume that Leica will service them, but I don't know for sure as I never had any reason to have it serviced, being brand new.

I own a 2" GeoMax Zoom80R, and I initially assumed that it was a rebranded Leica product because it has so many Leica-like characteristics:?ÿ package design, fit-and-finish, part numbering system and performance are the ones that come to mind.?ÿ However, I've since been told that they are produced in a separate factory that's owned by the Leica and GeoMax parent company Hexagon.?ÿ I assume that the original Leica molds, circuit board designs, optics and other parts are used in the production, and would expect the assembly and QC procedures to be similar.?ÿ However, I'm told that Leica shops will not service them.

I've not seen any difference in performance or durability between my GeoMax and the Leica TCRA1102plus that it replaced.?ÿ I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy another GeoMax if/when I needed a new one.?ÿ I expect that the Carlson unit is a GeoMax product sporting different trim, so my remarks apply to it as well.

Since I've had no offers for this gun, I don't know if this will make a difference, but I'm now asking $15,500 or best offer.

I'm in western Massachusetts.

According to the folks at iGage, "GeoMaxƒ??s accXess EDM technology provides reflectorless measurements up to 3,280 feet."

@la-stevens

It's a 2" instrument with the long range (1,000m) EDM.

I was under the impression that the Carlson CR2+ was a re-badged Geomax Zoom 90. This from the Geomax webpage:

"EDM technology full connectivity

GeoMaxƒ??s accXXess EDM Technology in the Zoom90 provides leading reflectorless measurements up to 1,000 metres. The extra small laser footprint and the sophisticated signal-processing technology ensures the highest accuracy, regardless of the distance or conditions."

As I've said above, I've never used this instrument in the field, and have no knowledge of it other than what I read of the Geomax 90 before I bought it. As to which is correct, 500m or 1,000m, I don't know.

OK, I've just gone through every email I had with Mark Silver of iGage prior to my purchase last year. This gun is a Carlson CR2+ A10, and the A10 is the one with 1,000m reflectorless capability. BTW, this instrument also has Carlson SurvCE v. 5.09 onboard! With previous robots I've owned, I've found the onboard option to be a real plus for certain projects, as it limits the amount of "stuff" to carry, and is very easy to run from the gun.
