by buying a Brother MFC J6710cw, next generation to the 6490. It appears that a storm fried the power supply or mother board and would not let it complete its boot up. Even though I had it plugged into a surge protector. After many hours spent on trying to fix it on my own and 1 hour on tech support and then talking to my local Brother Authorized repair shop, a new one was the best option.
Of course they do not take the same ink so, I'm looking to sell one new box of the 3 color + one new magenta, and 2 new LC61BK cartidges, one almost new LC61BK (changed a week ago+/-) and the 3 color cartiges used.
Thats a total of ten cartiges folks, 6 brand new, black pretty new, and 3 used colors. (sounds like an auction here)
