I have a brand new JAVAD Triumph 3 (T3-NR) that I won in a drawing at a trade show. This is the craziest drawing win I have had since winning a Lego Space Shuttle at a trade show in 2004. I think these units retail for about $7500 new. I have done some tests with it and while it is a great device, it doesn’t really fit with my workflow. I am a geophysicist who really needs a serial out over DB-9 cable to get NMEA0183 messages to my instruments. I mainly used Trimble GNSS equipment from 2000-2019 and did have a JAVAD Triumph LS Plus for a while. As I own my own company now I primarily use EMLID Reach GNSS receivers and Juniper Systems Geode GNSS receivers when I don’t need RTK/PPK.

Why are you selling?
I won this in a drawing at GeoWeek. I got it all set up and tested. I don't own any other JAVAD equipment, I owned a JAVAD Triumph LS Plus a number of years ago at a previous job. I have primarily used Trimble over the past 20+ years, but now primarily use EMLID Reach for my work.

Condition: Brand new

Does it still work? Yes, it works great

Price: $6,000 or best offer

The T3-NR can output NMEA messages through the micro USB and Bluetooth ports.  You might try using a USB to Serial or Bluetooth to Serial adapter if you want to use it with your instruments.

You are correct, but that doesn't really help.

From experience, using USB micro connections in the field is a horrible idea as they will probably break on the first day. Most of the GNSS receivers that I choose to use have either a DB9 serial port connector on them that has the screw posts on each side, or they have a Lemo connector that comes out of the GNSS receiver with a custom made serial cable.

The other issue is that the unit only uses NTRIP corrections and I often work in locations with no cellular coverage. For these locations either a L-Band correction service, SBAS, or a radio link for corrections are preferable for a correction source to NTRIP.

For those reasons I am looking to sell it and get another EMLID Reach RS3 or another Juniper Systems Geode GNS-3H. I have multiples of these units and they work well for my use cases.

How about $5200 for the unit?
