I've pretty much given up on my quest for future extended backpacking trips. So before I go to craigslist I thought I'd put it up for grabs for any beerleggers who may be in the market.

Its a pretty complete setup and has been to the bottom of Grand Canyon 3 times, around Isle Royale, and an overnighter here and there. All in excellent condition.

Including:
- Kelty Sierra Crest back pack 3900ST, with alum frame. It holds all I want to carry
- Mountain Hardware 2 person tent (better for 1). Screen roof, with a rain fly
- North Face sleeping bag. Its XL (95 x 37) mummy type rated to 10 deg. I've been warm in sub freezing.
- 4' Thermarest pad
- First Need water purifier
- 2 - 1 liter Nalgene water bottles
- Camelback water pack (3 liter I think)
- MSR Isopro cook stove, very compact (3 fuel cans). Includes a sparky lighter thing (no matches)
- assorted cookware, neoprene silverware, first aid kit, tie downs

I'd like to get $200 for all of it, plus shipping. I can set up the tent, etc and take more pictures if anybody is interested. My email is valid. Here are a couple pictures.

WOW! That's a helluva deal! I wish I did backpacking to jump on this! That sounds awesome!

My son and I are on the "minimalist/survivalist" kick at the moment. Attempting to lean what was once forgotten about surviving outside. Hunting is only a small subset of it.

Backpack gear for sale - tent

A bit more on the tent.

Here it is set up in my living room, albiet haphazardly. It actually does get quite taunt when staked down, and with the fly. It's 98"L x 48"W at front x 45"W at rear x 42"H in front x 24"H at rear. The rain fly encompasses the entire thing and has a small vestibule in the front for small gear, boots, etc.

To me, it's for one person. But I'm 6'2 & 230lbs. But the book says its for 2.

The aluminum frame is set for me & has room for growth or shrinkage, accordingly. I don't know the cubic inches of the pack, but if it's full of stuff it's heavy.

I didn't really want to seperate this stuff, but certainly can to a limit.

Nathan was first in line, so I guess he has first dibbsies. Personally, I think it's a bargain for somebody wanting some backpacking gear. But I don't mind, I just like the idea of somebody having fun.

Backpack gear for sale - sold

Just to let all know, I packaged up everything and shipped it to the first guy to inquire, Nathan Drummond. I'm sure he'll be pleased, even if he's a bit long for the tent & bag.

Thanks for all for the interest to all.

I've also got one of those 12' x 12' screen enclosures often used at picnics etc. No floor and a rea PIA to set up, but it's all there and works good to keep the bugs out. I'd figure that would be worth $25 or so.

Wayne

I gave all my stuff (minus the tent) to a nephew who went hiking in China a couple of years ago. I enjoyed while I had it and got even more pleasure knowing that he got some more good out of it.
