The people at Allen laughed at me when I asked about them replacing a Topcon FC-2000 digitizer screen. I guess they consider it to old? Took some searching but I found a great source for screens and want to share.
PAID ONLY $10.00 with free shipping from China for the same Sharp digi screen that it came with and was an easy 15 minute job. This site is loaded with all kinds of stuff for us DIY types.

When I opened it up, I found a very small number and the name Sharp along the edge of the screen, Typed that into the search and found the right one.

I did my own screen and digitizer on my TSC2. Works great now. Just need good reading glasses and a couple hours to tinker around. Also did the same on my Iphone including battery replacement. Not that hard especially with all of the videos on YouTube.

Believe it or not - EBay. It works great. It came from China too. So you have to wait a couple of weeks. If you want I'll try to look up the vendor.

fwiw - I sent a TSC2 out to Gulf Instrument Service after seeing their ads - they did a fast job, and had it back to me in just over a week for well under $400 inc shipping insured. I thought it was a bargain.

@Joe F - That is a bargin. My local guys wanted $800, but could do it in a week.

@Mapman - I found several on ebay too. I've done Ipod's and such, so I think I am going to go this route. For $50 and a little of my time. Much better than $800, plus shipping and still, the warranty isn't that good. This will be the 3rd time to replace the screen. Wish me luck.

There is always some risk. But use a little common sense and don't rush anything it should go well. I did mine about 18 months ago and I did not have any issues that I recall. Everything is modular. Get some precision torx drivers and screwdrivers with some silicone adhesive is about all I think you will need. The connections use that stiff ribbon that inserts into tiny slots on the motherboard. You will probably need to remove some of the silicone that is holding wires, etc. Just carefully cut it away. Its not that hard. Be sure to have a good pair of reading glasses. Take a few pictures before disassembly. May help when you re-assemble.

The cost has gone down since I bought mine. The best part is pocketing all that repair money! Good Luck.

Here is a photo of my digitizer. The orientation is correct, the FC-200 is portrait.

ebay Match All Words search "3.7 Digitizer"

Edit: also tell them it is a "Analog resistive film" touch screen.

Well... I ordered a screen & digitizer (might as well do both at the same time since I am digging around in the guts of the TSC2). Received them this weekend. This morning... surgery time. Too many screws, but I got in an out of surgery in 45 mins. No problems, no cutting or clipping. Works like a champ and saved me TONS of money. What a rip off from our dealers! Total cost was $50 for the combo, plus one hour of my time. I am in the wrong business with those kind of profit margins! Thanks for the idea Mapman. Too all others, I would highly suggest DIY on replacing screens on the TSC2. Way simple.

I also have a broken fc200 digitizer. Tried contacting the guy on ebay and he doesn't have them. Can anyone send me contact details for a supplier. My digitizer is same as the one in the image above. Thanks

I just did a search on ebay for TSC2 screen and got several hits. Mostly in China. But hey... isn't that where all electronics come from? I ordered and took about 2 weeks to receive.
