I always wanted to hand an applicant a questionnaire with some "think on your feet" questions...something like:
You are going to perform a corner recon and eventually a multi-section boundary in the vicinity of 43?ø55'30"N and 103?ø43'30"W.?ÿ Nearest vehicle access is around a mile to the closest corner.?ÿ It's the second week of March.?ÿ It snowed 2" three days ago and has been below freezing since then, but the predicted high temp for your first day on site will be around 50?ø?ÿF with a stiff breeze from the SE.
1.?ÿ What?ÿwill you wear?
2.?ÿ How many hands and what record info do you need?
3.?ÿ?ÿMake a list of?ÿwhat equipment you would consider essential for the task.
Two pickup trucks and a large wrecker, first pickup truck to get to the corner, second pickup truck to pull out the first pickup truck when the ice melts in the afternoon then the wrecker to pull out both of the pickup trucks.
Atv, dress in layers, glo notes, corner records, mineral surveys, bow saw, total station, gps.....tjays the exact weather we have that time of year here at that location?ÿ
