I took the DC exam yesterday (finally after working there under other licenses, on and off, since 2004) and had the results immediately and will get the license in the mail?ÿwithin ten working days.
When I tested for my first license it was during the October exam cycle and didn't know anything until mid-January.

Just checked and my license number and expiration date are up on the Board's website....finished the exam at 2:30 yesterday afternoon

I also know a lot of surveyors, architects, engineers, attorneys and even doctors; ?ÿI also?ÿhave a couple of friends who own mechanical contracting companies and I suspect (based on lifestyle) that none of the "professionals" ?ÿare bringing in the kind of scratch that the mechanical contractors are.?ÿ

When I applied to take the Colorado Exam, I was looking forward to a couple days vacation in Denver to go sit for the test. Little did I know that I would be sitting in a windowless room in an old strip mall in glorious downtown suburban Hurst, TX. I knew the results when I walked out the door, but it robbed me of a paid mini-vacation.
Meanwhile, NCEES took 7 working days to get me my FS and PS results.

Somehow, the waiting factor seems to add mysticism into the process. Like, the validity of the test is undermined if you get the results when you leave.
I was so bad that I actually saw the results before I got the email notice because I was checking every five minutes.

It was in Saturday's mail...you must have been a test case to work the bugs?ÿout of?ÿthe new system ??ÿ
