If you are seeking Ohio Minimum Standards for descriptions they are in the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 4733-37 Standards for Boundary Surveys These rules govern research requirements, map and description content. Look under section 4733-37-06 Descriptions. However each county is required by law (Ohio Revised Code 319.203 Adopting standards governing conveyances of real property in county.) to create rules that may add to the state minimum standards.

For county standards start with Ohio Department of Transportation, County Conveyance Information then check directly with the county you will be working in for updates. You should contact both the County Auditor and County Engineer to request both rules and copies of checklists they use for review. Some counties require very specific formats and boilerplate wording in descriptions.

The Franklin County, County Engineer's Survey page has Transfer and Conveyance Standards (PDF) you should be able to use Section 12 (D) as a check list for exactly what you need.

I can look through my old notes and see if I have an example. What I can tell you is that the question will have a sketch of a property and tell you to write the legal description for it. Contact me via private message and I'll send you what examples I can find.

I used Writing Legal Descriptions as my principle reference, I don't write many legals but was able to pass the first time after studying this book.
