I received my letter today infrming me that I have been approved to sit for the Kentucky State Specific Exam. The letter said that the test is given numerous times throughout the year, and I would receive a letter informig me of the test dates.
Thanks to Ryan, Jon, and a few others here, I have a good idea of what I need to study. I will be printing out my study material this week, assembling my exam materials, and start studying.
Does anyone have any idea of the test cycle in Kentucky?
Thanks in advance,
Jimmy
I think it depends on the number of applicants. Once they have enough, say 5 or so, they hold the test. However, it wouldn't surprise me that they would just let you take it if it was keeping you from accepting jobs in KY and you expressed that to the board. Oh and you will know that day if you passed.
When I took the test it was a Saturday, I received my license on that following Wednesday in the mail.

It's whenever they get a few approved. When I applied, I called to make sure all my paperwork was in order, and they asked if I wanted to take the test the following week.
I called the Board today, just to see if the test would be before Christmas. Everyone was super nice, and the state specific only test towards the end of January 2015. Those being admitted for that exam will be sent letters in the next week or so.
If any fellow Beer Leggers will be there, it would be an honor to meet you in person.
Time to start studying!
