It is CERTAINLY a nice buck. Odd how some deer end up hitting the front of trucks, and some end up in the bed of trucks.

I've been told the secret to success to obtaining huge racks is to capture the rascal and castrate him. The rack never sheds so continues to grow. Apparently this is common practice by certain pay-hunting businesses. I find it to be abhorrent.

I've never heard that but I agree. That sounds abhorrent. I've always enjoyed hunting, but almost always I ate what I killed and have never paid to hunt (other than the license of course).

Was told by a guy who should know that the best way to insure big racks is to feed soybeans thru the winter months after all the fields are shelled. They are already working on a 25 acre alfalfa field next to the house. I counted 35 in it at one time the last time I cut it.
