There was a presidential alert sent out wednesday at 1:18pm central time. My ATT company phone got it but my Verizon phone did not. I know of 3 others with Verizon that did not. I know 3 out of the 4 were on WiFi at the time but all were able to send or receive calls. After chatting with verizon support, this is what he said:
"It did James, I double checked for you and there are no blocks or anything impeding your phone from getting this alerts, the settings are all correct in the phone as well. So you're account is set to receive these alerts, your phone is set correctly to receive them. We can confidently say that because the device was connected to WiFi it did not receive these alerts James."
I call BS on that. I can still send or receive text while on WiFi. The alert should have went thru.
Can anyone verify this?

I didn't get it on Verizon Samsung S7.?ÿ Others in the meeting did.?ÿ I would have been wifi connected but wasn't using the phone.
I have an S7 with T-Mobile and received the alert 4 times. Two on wifi and 2 via my phone. I'm trying to figure out how to block the damn things.?ÿ ??ÿ
I have a Samsung S7 on Verizon and got the message.?ÿ Figuring out how to get rid of it was my problem.?ÿ Ended up shutting down the phone.
My Verizon Samsung S5 was streaming thru Windstream WiFi and I did not receive any message from President Trump.
Early that morning I was on with support because I could not dial out on the S5 because Verizon's signal was too weak to connect.
They did remote connect to my phone and updated some settings and now the signal is stronger and they set the S5 to be able to dial out and receive calls thru WiFi when it is connected.
What was the message?
A few of us at work, on company phones thru ATT didnt get it. Most did. Only thing in common was the ones that didnt did not vote for him. Dont make this political, but thats the truth. ?ÿI know the message had nothing to do with the president, and that was a coincidence, but thats what happened.?ÿ

Some did not get the text message because their phone was set to not receive alerts............

Mine arrived 5 minutes later than several people nearby. I use T-Mobile; others used different companies.
iPhone 6 - Verizon - right on time. I vote Libertarian.
No alerts for me. Phone was Off, company policy.

Verizon network, Kyocera Brigadier phone, connected to company wifi at the time. Alert received.
