This morning someone tried to blow up the "Georgia Guidestones". The Guidestones were erected in 1980 just a few miles from where I live. I was 12 years old and remember the event. I knew most of the men listed as workers in its creation. I knew the granite company owner that produced the Guidestones. He was sworn to secrecy about the identity of the man that commissioned them and to my knowledge never violated that oath. This was such a travesty.

I saw a video this morning of the alleged vehicle driving away.?ÿ They also demo'd the stones the rest of the way for safety purposes.?ÿ Sad.?ÿ I had never heard of them either.

Some of the inscriptions had been interpreted in ways that got a few people angry. None of them were overtly offensive to most. Someone who had been riled up by the spin decided anything they disagreed with was an evil they had to take down.

The ability to disagree peacefully seems to have been abolished in the USA. (Hope this isn't too political a comment.)

@lurker?ÿ

In today's society, a duel is out of the question. To big of a chance of getting the wrong outcome for the "Karens" of the world.?ÿ It has to be a cowardly drive by or ambush.

I've heard of them before, just seemed like another kookie tourist attraction.?ÿ ?ÿSeems weird that they would demolish them the day they were bombed.?ÿ ?ÿDid they really have time to do a complete investigation in less than 24 hours??ÿ ?ÿWhy not just close it off and take your time??ÿ ?ÿ

?ÿ

also seems like there would have been some surveying involved, as they had some astronomical alignments.?ÿ ?ÿAnyone want to fess up, now that they are gone??ÿ?ÿ

One of my mentors is listed as having been part of the process. Carl Maxwell Rucker, PLS 927, PE3457. That would be my guess as to who set the alignment.

I have heard of them and driven by them a few times. No one seems to know what purpose they may have, so have we reached a point where the explained and the unexplained are both offensive? I hope no one will take an offense to this post.?ÿ

They were erected in 1979 during the Cold War. A theory is they were meant to be a guide after the nuclear holocaust.
