My favorite is POETIC.
Many years ago I had one that read CAR TAG.
What made that special is that in the upper left corner of the plate is a two-letter designation of the county in which the tag is registered. In my case NO
So, when asked to put down my car licesnse plate on something like a hotel check-in form, I would put down NO CAR TAG. Usually, that would get the requester to go outside to look at it to verify that I was telling the truth.
It would be great in Mr. SLUMLRD's case if his first name was AL as those are the letters in the upper left-hand corner of his tag.
I saw one a few weeks ago that read
MOE ABTO
It would have been hard to decipher, except I noticed that the vehicle was parked next to a Ukrainian Orthodox church in my neighborhood. Looks to be the English version of the Ukrainian words for "My Car," pronounced something like "moya avto."
My all time favorite: DOG BREF
Had a car pass me many years ago on I-55 that had a plate that read 3NABED. You lucky man.
