Pintle and Gudgeon before cleanup

...and after clean up

Just about finished resurfacing the transom almost ready for primer.

I hope you had an extra "transom" to look thru out in the middle of the street while you refinished that one. 😉

A 1966 British built twin (bilge) keel Alacrity 19 sailboat.

By the way I'm looking for suggestions for a name for her that will tie Surveying and Sailing together.

Bi-pod, I like it. That is going on the list of possibilities.

I thought about Polaris but since there is a 4 wheeler named that I'm less enthused by it than I thought at first.

I like Geoid Jenny

Hey Randy,

I named my previous boat (28' Sabre) MEANDER..... and the tender was Traverse....

Good luck on the boat. Do you have a launch date set in your mind yet?

I'm realistically looking at December or January. I'm trying to have it done before my 50th Birthday which is Jan 24. This is a major labor of love the entire interior has been gutted all of the bulkheads, lockers and berths have been ripped out and have to be completely replaced. Fortunately I worked at Hunter Marine in the early eighties as a finish patcher and laminator, so none of the work is foreign to me. all of the sails are shot so I'll be sewing my own from precut sail kits about $300 each for Main, Jib and Genoa. I also need an Iron Jib and am hoping to find a British Seagull Century in the $4-500 range. I'm still having an internal debate about whether or not to repaint her with Gel-Coat (lots and lots of post application sanding) for a factory finish, or a two part Urethane. Any suggestions or recommendations are certainly appreciated.

P.S. I like Meander definately a finalist.
