If you could choose any mentor in the entire world to guide, teach, and train you in any area of life who would you select?

Uh, are we allowed to say something like Playmate of the Year with mentoring in certain specialties?

Jimmy Hoffa, keeps a low profile, haven't heard him making any demands, bragging or complaining for years.+o(

My father (rest his soul). Wish I could have had more time with him.

i dont know about guide, teach, or train but I always admired the independent character of John Fairfax taking on life as I was growing up and similar characters most of whom were sailors including my Dad..

I can't say that I woud want to learn everything from just one mentor.

One of my first mentors, Bill Rynearson, told me; that if I could take something good, from each party chief I worked with. I could be the best party chief of them all.

I did him one better; I learned how not to do stuff from some of the not so good party chiefs I worked with....

I'd like to pick the brain of some of historical figures.
The Bull Moose Teddy R.
Thomas J.
Leonardo da Vinci

Maybe to ride along in a Canoe with David Thompson for a stretch would have been rewarding.

I have been blessed with some great mentors for life, work etc, but not one individual for all of it.

I would have liked to have know and talked with William Burt. In particular how it was he came up with the idea for the Solar Compass. There was a device called a ring compass that was in use for hundreds of years which may have influenced his design. It would also be neat to see his other inventions the Typographer and the Equatorial Sextant.

It's a toss-up between Abraham Lincoln and Bill Murray.
