I was sitting under our picnic shelter with my feet on a foot stool reading and actually posting on here... I realized it had gotten dark so I was going to walk eight feet and turn the light on. I set my feet down and something didn't feel right. I put my feet back on the foot stool and looked by the light of my phone... yep. Snake. Kinda fat. Turned the phone
flashlight on to confirm. Copperhead with a frog in it's mouth. That frog is probably why I didn't get bitten.
yikes.
uh...looks like he could use a band aid..
UGH! ?ÿTime to go change my shorts............if I had been there.
Another reason I shovel snow 5 months a year.....
Me too!?ÿ That was more than a fart!
This rascal paid me a visit around 6am Saturday morning on the pool deck. Unfortunately it met its demise about 6:10am. Although I never kill snakes, I felt it may be a threat to my overcurious Grand Kids. It was a coral snake and received a proper burial.

What's that tape reading to??? ??ÿ
I don't usually kill snakes.... That one was the only witness to me screaming like a little girl. He had to go. ;-)?ÿ

Fer cripes sakes Stacy you live in GA and a snake scares you? Ain't you ever gone to a Rattlesnake roundup? That el cure the fear.?ÿ ??ÿ
I like snakes....dead ones.

That being said, if a snake isn't harming me or anyone around me, I'll let it live. My dad's fear of snakes is funny to me. One time, years ago, there was a baby rattler (about 8" in length) and he terminated its lease on his property with a 12 gauge. BOOM
I found this guy in my kitchen this weekend. I would have been happy to release it somewhere else, but my wife said that if it got into the house, it had to die.

It is not the ones I see at a reasonable distance that scare me. It's the ones that are very near before they are seen.?ÿ I think you would be too.

Yep, friendly Eastern Milk Snake. I told her it was helping to keep the mouse population down. She said it should have been doing that outside, not in the kitchen, lol.
That snake should have stayed at Jack's house!!!
