I assume that you mean a survey application beyond fun and entertainment?
cause those are two applications that pop into my head!
No more having to worry about the fatal funnel when clearing a home.
Throw a squad of those in the house and they can flash bang every room before you enter.
I wonder how well they will work outside though. Wind would be their enemy.
I can see a lot of military applications. Strap some explosives to them and the sky is the limit. Almost too small to shoot and to fast to knock down.

How about surveillance of the civilian population?

My trusty 12 guage will make short work of those little buggers!

Warning - P&R
Thinking the same Loyal, maybe just keying a strong CB radio would cause a crash. Look like fun toys at this stage of development. Is an Energizer Bunny the power source, if so maybe a carrot would distract them? Ever wonder what the future will hold with all of this surveillance equipment being developed, can't be good for freedom or protection from an out of control government.

Warning - P&R
If I heard them while out surveying, I'd run first and ask questions later. They sound to much like a swarm of bee's to me.
I would program a squad of them to follow hardhats around while simultaneously swatting mosquitoes with their rotor blades.
> must be a survey application...
Maybe mount tiny misquito seeking machine guns on them?
😉

Warning - P&R
Kind of creepy, but the first thing I thought of when viewing the video of them going thru the window was the scene from "Minority Report" where all the little robot bug things went all over a building checking innocent people while looking for Tom Cruise's character.
