I have the "Wave".

What is your favorite multitool? As a jack of all things, a leatherman is essential. Which is your favorite?

I have the Charge and try to not ever find myself without it.;-)
I use more times throughout a year than any other tool.

I also have a Wave but rarely carry it. I have a Benchmade knife I usually carry but the truth is the Wave is a lot more usefull.

I have both the old and new Wave.'

I got the new one because the inside tools now have a locking mechanism.

It lives on my belt everyday at work and has been used for fencing, cutting vegetation, fixing tripods, opening beers, etc, etc.

It's one of the best things I have ever bought.

My wife gave me a Sundance multitool about 5 years ago. I love it. I never take it to the field.

Have carried a Leatherman on my belt for decades...

Sawn branches to get an observation, measured offsets, tightened screws, cut wire, added leather belt holes..... use the pliers to lift permanent mark covers.......constantly in use.

Can sincerely recommend to all surveyors with out one to put on their birthday or Christmas present list if do not want to purchase yourself.

I must have half a dozen, but don't find myself taking them along. I do have 2 jack knives, one very small SnapOn that has the equivalent of a #10 scalpel blade - useful for digging slivers and briars out of my hands, and a 3 1/2" Kershaw workhorse; both razor sharp.

I take the ATV most places, and keep real tools on that - #9 Klein lineman's pliers, Woodzig saw, bolo machete, ViseGrips etc.

Pricey, and since I don't use them, probably won't buy any more.

I find the wave and the charge too heavy and bulky, with options that I never use.

I wear an old plain jane leatherman, light and compact with solid leather case. No models mentioned, just "Leatherman Tool, Portland, Or."

My wife is a Nurse Practitioner at an aircraft plant. As part of her duties she has to respond to some injuries (they do have their own EMTs). I ordered her a Leatherman Raptor. Now all the EMTs want one.

I've carried the "Micra" for years. I think I'm on my third or fourth one since they sometimes get left behind. Small and light enough to carry in your pocket with just enough tools to be useful.

I too have a wave and keep it on my belt by the machete. It's quite handy around fence corners.
