Why, yes there are. Or, at least, THERE SHOULD BE.
Edit: This damm thing keeps pulling them back out no matter how many I put in there.
I think that was a function of the manual typewriter era, and linotype machines that set (in lead) newsprint for readability purposes. Word processing has changed that. It's an old habit of mine ...

What about the Oxford comma? I still use two spaces, except here.

Oxford comma FTW as the kids say these days.
And I love the Oxford comma!
And I detest the word "that" when "very" is called for.
(Yeah, I ended a sentence with a preposition, too.)
Gene Hill was terrific! Thanks for those memories. I'll have to re-read Shotgunner's Notebook again.
I like Catsup on Hot Dogs (along with mustard, relish, cheese, sauerkraut, onions, even chili).

I just checked the pantry, and my Heinz is spelled Ketchup (although some brands are not).
Potato--potatoe
😉
Chocolate ice cream with cheerios mixed in.
Diced jalapeno olives mixed in with my eggs.
Liver (beef) and onions baby. Awesome stuff.

Lucked into a sixteen gauge Fox Sterlingworth at an auction a decade ago for $450 :):):)
If I had to perform the rudimentary work of putting vermin down trying to impose their will upon myself or my family I will use Mr. Harris' double gun. For upland game I would swing the Fox thank you. Steve
I found an old Purdy (sp) in a buddies basement once. It was Grandpa's and not in great shape. I offered him him $35 just to get it out of the wine cellar and then made the mistake of telling him what he had. Dang it, should have haggled.
Always wanted a 16 for upland hunting but he shells are so expensive if you can find them around here. Ended up with a slimmed down Rugger o/u instead. Turned out OK, whacked a lot of birds with that gun. Fasted gun I ever mounted.
Then we could talk about the Invincible stories. Only 2 made.......
We had a bit of a family collection of firearms including half a dozen shotguns, including a 30 year old matching pair of Winchester Presentation Grade skeet and trap (so well balanced you could close your eyes ...), and a couple of army Mausers that I customized. Farmhouse got broken into maybe 5 years ago and all stolen, not recovered. Haven't bothered since as realized spend a lot of time protecting things from those who have not.

Those are some d@mn fine looking spaniels...I haven't had a bird dog in about a decade, but I believe I need a rough shooting English or Welsh Springer
Picked up a 50# lab last year after 5 years of trying. That little girl is ready to terrorize the pheasant population around here this fall. I can't wait.
I don't like Tom Petty. I'm the only one I know who holds that opinion...
