Hijack....
Paden, does the chior sing "I got a wiggle stick mama"? 😉
As far as this thread is concerned, it's water under the bridge, forget about it.

I saw Pat Green in a club on the Delaware shore on his birthday...the crowd brought him so many shots that by the encore he was singing Rod Stewart's "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?"

one of the more remarkable events i've ever attended was when he played with los lobos in a parking lot downtown here 20 years ago (now the site of a 40+ story condo tower that i referenced in a thread a year or two ago re: a 900 dollar ALTA). anyways, at some point i found myself in the company of a bunch of bandidos that had decided to take in a show while their bikes cooled off, i guess. in the middle of the rev's set, one of them pulled out an "alternative" cigarette that he had carefully fashioned into what resembled a menorah. i must say i was absolutely fascinated to suddenly find myself in the company of some rather haggard looking latino men who had decided to make it an interfaith gathering. needless to say, i know my manners and i gladly accepted their offering. strangely though, i don't think it took, because shortly thereafter several of the fellows with whom i'd partaken got themselves in some kind of lather and began flogging some unbelievers nearby.
this was always my favorite. probably on account of me being a runt.

Well I see this thread has taken a "left turn clyde". I love it. 🙂

It needs to be remembered that nobody was banned until Wendell emptied the trash and someone got in his face about it.
Ted Dura was kicked off, and a few more.
The latest "banning fer a month" was just a remind that Wendell has rules. If you are flat rude, and attacking, well, it's not conducive to the kind of forum Wendell wants.
I cannot blame him.
Btw, have you put any bread into Wendell's jar lately?

My thoughts exactly.

Nate I would go further to clarify that,
"just a remind that Wendell has rules. "
We as members of this site have rules, Wendell and admin unfortunately have to be put in a position to uphold them.
"it's not conducive to the kind of forum Wendell wants."
And again I would say it is not the forum that ANY of us wants. Wendell just has to be the bad cop. And still make a living outside of this site to keep the lights on.
Cheers Brother!
Well.........I wonder who was put in time out?

Very well put and exactly the reason.
There's a difference between expressing your thoughts and ripping someone a new one, a.k.a. personal attacks.
I'm not sure if I'm offended @ the phrase "vituperative personal recriminations". You made me look up vituperative.......but anyway some of them are just a bunch of nattering nabobs of negativism in my opinion. ;^)

I prefer the term, "vituperative opprobria". 😉

I suppose a lot of people have a tendency to forget this is a privately owned site. Wendell doesn't tell you how to run your business so don't "tell" him how to run his.
@flyin solo No Clyde, your other left. 😉
I tend to think it is best under private management too...
Big Corporations tend to get too loose.

What is the difference between a contrarian and a horse's ass? Well......
