"Go find yours?" Have a look, Ted ...

I knew someone would come along and explain it to me, I feel a lot better now! But as I drive down this road the same time everyday for 30 years, and the sun was never in my eyes....how come it is now. Same as my 89 year old paper man, been deliverin' the newspaper same route for ever...says to me one day, your a surveyor, whats up with the sun??? Just pickin' on you guys, why should Ted have all the fun...Hey Ted how come you ruffle feathers then get quiet for a day or two?? Lets compare shadows!!!

For those sheeple out there who can't understand what was just posted. $4.95....order now and we'll throw in the Flat Earth Computation series for free.

Although I did find one small error (bear with me...had to this in my head) but it really wasn't much to worry about.

Ever wonder about that funny lazy figure eight on globes? It's called the analemma ... something or another about the apparent movenment of the Sun.

Some years ago, Sky & Telescope magazine had a fold-out picture of exactly that - the analemma. In keeping with the traditional Playboy centerfold, Sky & Telescope published a centerfold photo that a fellow took of one year's worth of multiple exposures made in his back yard of the apparent movement of the Sun through an entire year. Instead of naked babes, Sky & Telescope publishes analemmas ...

In the same vein of Solar trivia, a bazillion-air that lives on Highland Road on the way to LSU recently installed an armillary-style sundial in his front yard. The dufus incorrectly pointed it to the Southeast. I got a Google Earth photo of his estate and wrote to him with instructions on how to properly point his sundial. I mailed the letter to him on last Friday.

So far, the dinkleberry has not fixed his sundial ...

He is probably contacting his bazillion dollar an hour atty. and trying to figure out just how you are able to see his sundial...you actually wrote him a letter telling him it was pointed the wrong way??? This post gets more scarry by the minute.

Too bad you told him about the sundial, he may have given you some "useless" Rolex's.

Ted must be right: I noticed the last time I was out during the full moon that it was WAYYY higher in the sky than it should be. The sun is very low in the sky this time of year so therefore the moon also should be low since they are both on the ecliptic they would scribe the same path across the sky. It's a conspiracy!

"So the next question is does that include the magnetic poles, since those woudl have as great an impact as physical shifting"

That's right-the magnetic poles never shift! But boy if they did we'd be in trouble.

Ummm....right around Thanksgiving we had 24º and lower temps. But that was a rare event. We usually don't get that cold until December. And now it is December and it's warm and flooding here with tornadoes! Go figure. 😐
