I just got back from a little shopping. The thermometer in my truck read 108. The National Weather Service just reported 105 which is an all time high for Atlanta. Time for a big 'ol glass of iced tea and sit in front of the fan.

Not too HOT!!!
The high today here will be 65, my wife will be wearing a sweater......
its 88 here in SW Connecticut.
It hit triple digits here in WV today and there are over 300,000 without power after those storms ripped through here yesterday evening.
Not too HOT!!!
You only get 2 weeks of summer in Washington..lol
We are in the 105 neighborhood. I haven't seen the official temps yet. Better than the 112 we had a few days ago.
The porch thermometer is in the shade and said 104, the one in the truck said 108, just finished a day of wrestling with a lawnmower with a stuck governor, runs great but at 18k rpms and reminds me of a live grenade.
That segued into unpacking and assembling a new mower, patching the tires on the lawn cart, performing CPR and pronouncing the old wheelbarrow, buying, hauling, and assembling the new wheelbarrow, picking up limbs from the storms from the past two weeks and cutting the front yard.
To add insult to injury, the last Beck's Dark was scarfed by my son leaving..... the dreaded silver bullet. At least it's cold.
You know, I've never been to south Alabama, but if I was there now I would RUSH to your house with at least a six-pack.
That one silver bullet lacks both quantity and quality; but I'm sure you can take care of yourself when it comes to necessary refreshment.

And 2 weeks of winter..lol
The rest of the time it's Spring or Fall..[sarcasm]yeah, that really sucks....[/sarcasm]:snarky:
It stops raining on the day after Independance Day and then starts back up again on July 6th.....
Not too HOT!!!
I remember. In 42 years up there it broke 100 twice. First year in Kansas I was working in it about 30 days of the summer. Gets so 95 seems like spring. I have the best garden ever this year though. They would be sprouts on the Hood Canal.. lol
Sorry dude!
o.O
97 yesterday in Metro NY NJ. 80 at 11 last night.I am glad I took a short week this holiday week.
Roger that Andy! Expect the same today.
It's just about 0830 hours and already over 80 here in {Cr]Acworth.
Not to worry though. Forecast shows we'll be cooling off to the mid-upper 90s over the next 5 days or so.
(For those that don't know, Andy is only about 15 miles from me.)
Chuck...
you should just head over to Coney Island and cool off for a few days..daze..
or is that you in the lower right hand corner.B-)

Mine was showing 107 yesterday in Albany...
Alls well that ends well, bro in law showed up after a trip to the PX and commisary with a case of Heineken. We both decided for the second beer, a lukewarm Heineken trumps a cold canoe beer.
Seriously, for those of us who did indulge and will be in the field Monday, now is the time to hydrate. Small amounts all day, and no more(or at least only a tiny drop) booze. It is going to be rough.
Newark always seems to lead in the temperature race in the summer.
