My wife took cookies to work today, third year in a row, that were cut out using a pi-shaped cookie cutter I made her.

It started when they hired a math major in her department. One year they had a pi(e) contest on pi day. Not what you'd expect from hospital staff.

... There are no occurrences of the sequence 123456 in the first million digits of pi. But of the eight 12345's, three are followed by another 5. The sequence 012345 occurs twice, and in both cases it is followed by another 5. I don't know what it means but it means something.
